Tonight

London sees the return of MUCC, after six years since their last show here, this tour certainly feels like it is well overdue but UK fans will be quite used to lengthy waits for a European tour that includes us on the bill.

Nevertheless there is a lot of excitement surrounding tonight's show as people gather in front of the huge back drop displaying a gargantuan skeleton and talk excitedly as minutes count down before the show begins.

The show gives us a brilliant mix of tracks mainly from their last couple albums including "Ender Ender" and "G.G", two songs that didn't fail to get the crowd moving around and participating with enthusiasm very early on. In fact the level of energy that the crowd were going to need tonight was quickly being realised! With arms in the air, the moments where dancing took over from headbanging which was then replaced by who could jump the highest, voices rising to each chorus, the atmosphere of the entire venue was exceptional.

MUCC also treat us to a few newer songs as well and a couple of classics, "FUZZ" and "Saishuu Ressha", that very rightly appealed greatly to the older fans amongst the audience tonight. "FUZZ" especially getting us buzzing not only emotionally but bodily as well, singing and dancing to this well loved hit, as Tatsurou charged and jumped about the stage with harmonica and an amount of energy that seemed to be relentless after over an hour of performing already.

Of course nothing is quite complete without the band taking time to say hello to the crowd and with MUCC there is always a level of humour behind their speech, most notably the banter between each other and the fans, which happens fairly frequently in the show tonight. However as Tatsurou begins to say that they will be back soon, he soon stops briefly in realisation and finishes with "maybe", maybe they will try, joining in with the laughter that ensued.

MUCC's encore set began with "Sesshuu Ressha" much to the pleasure of many here tonight, screams of elation reaching ear bursting pitch as fans readied themselves for the show to continue and ready to put lungs and vocal chords to the test again.

Tonight was one of those shows that left everyone on in the best of spirits, slightly achy from all the dancing, headbanging and jumping, with a slight ringing of the ears but with all the hope that it will not take another six years for the next tour!
